Over the years I have been a wedding photographer I have photographed lots of small weddings from 4 to 15 guests and small weddings or Micro Weddings as they have come to be called through Covid 19 are still as special and beautiful as larger weddings. From April Micro Weddings are allowed and I can assure you that a small wedding can be just as wonderful and in some cases more personal than before! If you are thinking about having a Micro Wedding here are just some of the perks!
So what is a Micro Wedding? For me a Micro Wedding can be exactly the same as a larger wedding just with not as many guests! You can still have wedding photography from the bridal preparations all the way through to the speeches and the bride and groom dance to capture your full wedding story.
So what are some of the perks of having a Micro Wedding?
It Can Be Less Stressful
A Micro Wedding is quite often less stressful for you to plan as it can be stripped all the way back to just the most important things to you as a couple, the family and guests that you absolutely want there and what atmosphere and experience you would like to create for your wedding day. Just because you are looking to have a Micro Wedding doesn't mean that you have to scrimp on the styling, the food and drink and of course your wedding dress!
One of the things that I love about Micro Weddings is the feel of them, everyone that is there is so special to you, they all know you really well and it creates a wonderful happy atmosphere to your wedding day. Also you will be able to spend more time with your wedding guests rather than a quick 5 minutes before you have to move onto the next table.
There are less Eyes on You
For some couples the idea of having to say your vows in front of lots of people or walking down the aisle can be a bit scary but if you decide to have a Micro Wedding you maybe more comfortable in the wedding ceremony surrounded by just a few people.
You Can Add More Personalisation to Your Day
When I photograph any wedding I always make sure that I get lots of photographs of the bits and bobs couples have to make their wedding day personal to them, for example the cake or the table decorations. With Micro Weddings you may find that you are able to add more of these decorative items to your wedding day or maybe have those personalised favors that you always wanted but weren't able to have due to the cost for a larger number of wedding guests!
You can Save Money
One of the most obvious perks about a Micro Wedding is the cost! If you have a smaller guest list you can save on food and drink but that doesn't mean you will miss out on quality and a perfect wedding venue that seemed out of budget before maybe able to accommodate you with a smaller wedding if you can choose a weekday for your wedding.
For me any wedding is special whether it is with 4 people or 100 people, I feel honored to be able to be part of your wedding day and capture the special moments that happen throughout your wedding day.
