Happy Anniversary to Amy & Luke who were married at Crow Hill Marsden a year ago today!

It was a relaxed day filled with lots of lovely people and an outside wedding ceremony in the rain which was really magical! The rain finally stopped after the wedding breakfast and we ventured out for some bride and groom wedding photographs!

Crow Hill Marsden is a venue a visit a couple of times a year for wedding photography and there are lots of great wedding photography opportunites there!

Happy Anniversary to Rebecca & Jamie who were married at Ringwood Hall Hotel Chesterfield a year ago today!

It was a a lovely day that started with Rebecca's preparations before the wedding ceremony at the couples local church.

We then made our way to Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa but not before stopping off in a beautiful field before the wedding reception!

Ringwood Hall Hotel is a wedding venue that I visit a couple of times each wedding season and it's always great to go back and use all the beautiful spots that it has for wedding photography.

Why do Brides wear a veil?

So you all know how I love a veil!!

However did you know the tradition behind it! I didn't so I thought I would have a look into the traditions that go with weddings!!

There are a few reasons why brides traditionally wear veils and it's not just so that I can make some awesome wedding photos (unbelievable I know!)

The Veil was thought to hide the bride’s beauty and wards off evil spirits!

Another reason could be that during the times of arranged marriages the bride’s face would be covered until the groom had committed to the marriage!!

Oh, and after your wedding, don’t let your friend try on your veil! It’s supposed to mean she’ll run off with your husband and that would not be a happy time!!
